An Air India Express flight from Dammam to New Delhi made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad on Monday after a crew member found a tissue paper in a lavatory with the word “BOMB” written on it.

The aircraft, with 32 passengers, landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport around 4.30pm. All passengers were taken to Terminal 2. CISF, a bomb disposal squad and a dog squad searched the cabin, seats, cargo hold and luggage.
Assistant Commissioner of Police V.N. Yadav told PTI that nothing suspicious was found. An investigation is under way to establish who left the note.
